{"id":1078,"date":"2016-04-29T03:01:32","date_gmt":"2016-04-28T22:01:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/new.gregoryfrost.com\/?p=1078"},"modified":"2016-04-29T03:01:32","modified_gmt":"2016-04-28T22:01:32","slug":"playing-the-devil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gregoryfrost.com\/?p=1078","title":{"rendered":"Playing the Devil?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So today was my <em>very<\/em> exciting trip to my local Social Security office in order to sign up for Medicare.<br \/>\nDrove along while listening to Jerry Goldsmith&#8217;s score for<em> The Omen<\/em> (of all the things Goldsmith wrote, this is the one that won an Academy Award&#8230;but that extensive debate over scores\u2014I mean, come on, &#8220;The Wind &amp; the Lion&#8221;, &#8220;The Blue Max&#8221;, hello?\u2014\u00a0is\u00a0for another time).<\/p>\n<p>And so I go inside and have to register for my turn on a touch-screen monitor, which kicks out a deli-counter-style piece of paper to tell me\u00a0where I\u00a0am in line.<\/p>\n<p>And mine&#8230;spits out <strong>D666<\/strong>. Coincidence? I think not.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s all Goldsmith&#8217;s doing.
